Recharge weekend

Sitting in the sun, catching up on uni reading with the help of a hoodlum puppy.

I may not be a fan of summer but the first few weeks of spring when it's sunny without being hot, all the plants are green and the birds are really active are one of my favourite points of the year. I wasn't quick enough to snap a photo of a very determined crow who went through some things Dad had left out of the car on the way to the bin. Or the blue wren who decided I was not too much of a threat and landed half a metre from me.

Work diaries and identity crises

We get a generic batch of diaries at work. Which for my boss and I means that we are constantly trying to abscond with each others diaries. I found a half used sticker sheet in my desk drawer today and did some decorating. The stickers were from a newsagent somewhere and the pens are Moonlight something from Japan - I've seen the same ones on the jet pen website. I'm not sure how well either the stickers or the pens will hold up but for now it is cute and distinctive.

Back to work - hi ho, hi ho

The first day back at work for 2013 has ended and the train is winding it's way home. I'm busy trying to organise 2013 in my diary. I'm using the moleskin monthly diaries again to journal and have the monthly planner to keep everything organized and stop me from having to write everything anew in the next month of the journal.

I'm also making another attempt at reading The Lord of the Rings trilogy as a New Years Resolution/challenge. I'm still debating whether I can claim it as 6 books on my reading list as the version I have is divided into 6 bits... Possibly pushing the envelope a little there.
